Do you work with people who are pregnant or who live with children under the age of five? Hunger Solutions New York and NYS Department of Health would like to hear from them. We need your help to encourage them to participate in a short five-minute survey. Background Although New York State WIC serves about 390,000 New Yorkers, nearly twice as many could benefit from its public health services. As part of our NYS WIC targeted outreach project, we partnered with the Center for Human Services Research (CHSR) at the University at Albany to conduct a comprehensive statewide assessment. The assessment includes a survey to learn why eligible families may not enroll in WIC and about WIC participants' experiences with the program. Spread the Word Please encourage those you serve who are pregnant or who live with children under age five to participate. Use the suggested language below to share this information in e-mail, website, social media and other communications: For potentially eligible non-participants If you are pregnant or live with children under age 5, please answer a few short questions to share your thoughts and experiences.
