Next Monday, April 29, the Child Poverty Reduction Advisory Council (CPRAC) is holding its first public hearing in New York City. The hearing provides an opportunity for New Yorkers to share their experiences applying for and receiving public benefits and will focus on “administrative burdens" such as: - Challenges completing application forms
- Understanding requirements related to each program
- Managing benefits once receiving them
- Getting help with these processes
Please help spread the word and encourage your partners and community members with lived experience to attend or submit comments. New Yorkers interested in attending can register here. The Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) will provide a webcast of this meeting in real time.
