Celebrate National CACFP Week March 12-18, 2023 |
|
This National CACFP Week, please join us in thanking CACFP providers across New York for their continued support of New York’s children and teens. The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) helps afterschool programs and child care providers serve healthy meals and snacks to children in their care, alleviating hunger and supporting kids’ learning and development. While thousands of providers already participate in CACFP, many more could join! Take action to help us spread the word and expand access to this valuable program: - Visit AfterschoolMealsNY.org and ChildCareMealsNY.org to learn more and access outreach resources.
- Sign up for our afterschool meals webinar, May 25, 2023 at 1pm: “Fuel Learning Beyond the School Day: How Schools & Programs Can Serve Free, Healthy Afterschool Meals in the 23-24 School Year.” We’ll cover the basics of CACFP’s afterschool meals component, including eligibility, meal requirements, and how to get started. Can’t make it? Register anyway to receive follow up resources.
- Share your story about CACFP and how it benefits kids in your program and community.
