Spotlighting the Importance of School Breakfast

With National School Breakfast Week right around the corner, Hunger Solutions New York and No Kid Hungry New York are joining together to highlight the importance of school breakfast in our state. School breakfast is an integral part of the school day, and now more than ever we know that school meals are vital to helping New York’s kids grow and thrive. Join us in celebrating school breakfast by sharing your stories and engaging your students!

Share Your School Breakfast Stories

To celebrate National School Breakfast Week, we are highlighting stories from across the state about how school breakfast positively impacts school communities. We would love to hear from you! Have you seen a child thrive when they start eating breakfast? Have mornings become easier when kids all eat together in the classroom? Let us know! Click the link below to share your school breakfast story, and we may highlight it on our social media channels and websites.

Engage Your Students

Looking for a fun way to engage students in National School Breakfast Week? Check out our “Why I Love School Breakfast” valentines! These valentines can decorate your cafeteria, kitchen, and classrooms. By sharing photos of the valentines on your school’s social media, you can show how kids in your district love school breakfast! Tag us in the posts or send the valentines to us, and we’ll publicize them to display how kids across New York love school breakfast.

Join Us on Social Media

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing stories and valentines from across the state. Join in to hear from your peers!
