Laying the Groundwork for Summer Meals

Summer Is Just Around the Corner!

Now is a great time to pre-order Summer Food Service Program outreach materials from the New York State Department of Education. Bilingual outreach flyers are available in bulk at no charge. The flyers promote summer meals and feature a QR code to help families find nearby site locations.

No Kid Hungry New York (NKH-NY) SFSP Grant Opportunity

NKH-NY is supporting school districts and community-based organizations operating the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) or Seamless Summer Option (SSO) and implementing non-congregate meal programs in rural areas. Grant awards will average between $10,000 - $20,000, and exact amounts will vary depending on program need. To be considered for a summer meals grant, applicants must complete and submit the No Kid Hungry New York 2023 Summer Grant Inquiry Form by Friday, April 28.
