New Social Media Toolkit: Nutrition Education

WIC provides nutrition education tailored to the needs of families, offering practical guidance for healthy eating from pregnancy through early childhood. Through in-person and over-the-phone consultations with nutritionists and convenient online learning options, families can learn about essential nutrients, meal planning, shopping for WIC foods, kid-friendly recipes, creating positive food experiences for kids, and more. Our new social media toolkit, WIC Nutrition Education: Healthy Eating Made Easy for Families, can help you promote WIC’s nutrition education services, highlighting how it helps families develop knowledge and skills to make healthy eating easier and establish good nutrition habits that last a lifetime.

National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month, an annual campaign established by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for everyone to learn about making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits. This year's theme is "Food Connects Us," focusing on how cultures, families, and friends impact our relationship with food and how what we eat affects our health. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics provides many educational materials in English and Spanish, weekly messages, and 50 ideas to get involved in National Nutrition Month. In addition, a social media toolkit is available with shareable graphics in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Hindi.
